DJ ENDY

WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO BE A DJ?

My desire to become a DJ stem from my profound love for music. Additionally, I grew weary of attending parties where the music failed to resonate with me.

What I find most rewarding about being a DJ is witnessing the joy that my music brings to people, particularly the expressions on their faces when their favorite song plays.

HOW HAS POETRY CHANGED YOU?

Poetry has changed the way I express myself entirely. I find that I tend to intellectualize my emotions and avoid actually feeling and processing them. By writing, I provoke the emotion out of me and allow myself to feel it. There's something about seeing your thoughts and feelings on paper that brings it all to light. It's lead me to centering myself and journaling more. By doing this for myself, I've been able to be there for others in a way I could've never imagined. It's very therapeutic.

My goals with poetry are to show that not everything in the human experience is sunshine and rainbows. I want to showcase the dark corners of the human mind and provoke whoever is reading to find that vulnerability in themselves. Not all of my poetry is dark, but I have to write about the darkness to get to the light. I don't want to be a downer but, I want to show people that by introspecting and acknowledging the things one goes through, is one of the keys to authenticity. I just want it to be thought provoking.

What do you think makes a great photographer?

Your skills make you a great photographer. Knowing how to work your camera, understand lighting, understand tones, and all aspects that go towards creating stunning images. If a photographer does not understand those elements, then they will need to do some more work in the studies.

What age did you start doing photography?

I was 22, straight out of college, with a Bachelor of Science degree in digital graphics and design. I was eager to start my career in the field, but it proved to be extremely challenging to land a job. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and picked up a camera to work on some graphic work through photography. I realized that using my own images to create graphics would be easier than searching online for stock images. I started by asking friends to do shoots with me on location. And then, one day, I received my first branding client to shoot her swimsuit line in the studio - and the rest is history!

My twin brother holds a significant place in my life—a constant source of support and inspiration. Preston Logan, my twin, played a pivotal role in influencing my choice of career path. His presence has undeniably been a cornerstone in my life.

I am entirely self-taught in the realm of photography. My journey began by honing my camera skills during backyard birthday celebrations and adventurous canoeing and camping expeditions. Lacking access to a dedicated studio or mentorship in mastering corrective lighting techniques, I developed a preference for capturing spontaneous moments amid real-life scenarios.

PANA Productions A.P. distinguishes itself as a venture born out of necessity. Our passion for music, fashion, and cinema has consistently fueled our pursuit to transform aspirations into tangible achievements. Additionally, as identical twins, we collaborate seamlessly to cover events from distinct perspectives - I specialize in photography while my brother excels in videography.

Photography has changed my life because it's given me a new lens of life-especially when it comes to people. I'm a portrait photographer and my specialty is capturing moments of humans. I am able to find the beauty in people regardless of them being able to see it or not. The emotion, expressions, body language, unique details, and personalities are very important for me to show.

I began exploring photography during my junior year of college. Initially, I pursued a degree in graphic design, which required enrolling in several photography courses.

By the end of a semester, it became clear that my passion lay elsewhere.

Despite completing my degree in design, I have dedicated myself to portrait photography ever since. My aim is to craft memories and stories that resonate with people when they view their images. While some seek a simple photo session, others approach me to weave a narrative or convey emotions through imagery that words cannot capture. My aspiration is for my portraits to stir emotions, be it joy, sorrow, amusement, or solemnity, and to evoke a palpable response.

As l've previously stated, I am a portrait photographer. My jam is capturing black culture and black people in general. We are the soul shakers and movers of our time. We are innovative, proud, loud, and beautiful. So, why not celebrate that? Music inspires me every day, along with fashion, streetwear, and just the industry alone. I want to be able to give us a platform that is safe, inspiring, and celebratory. We are dope, we are beautiful, and we are it! I can take pictures of anyone-but I definitely take pride in that.
