“His first album was dedicated to his brothers — one he used to rap with, and the other who pushed him to get back into music after he had quit. For him, it was really a pain project, something he created to show people how much they truly meant to him.

"DIALLO" believes people connect with his music because they see themselves in him. To him, it’s not ‘Hollywood’ — he comes from the dirt, and his music comes from a real place of passion. Through his lyrics, listeners are able to hear both the struggles from his past and the accomplishments he’s achieved now that he’s made it through those phases of life.

His first album was more about showing people the real him. He admits he normally doesn’t talk about those emotions openly, so every time he stepped into the booth, it became a way of getting things off his chest. Music became his outlet — a place where he could finally release emotions he had been holding in for a long time.

Looking back, he describes that time as the ‘hunger phase.’ He says he was mentally messed up while creating the album and was just getting back into the studio again, with his brothers being the motivation behind it all. The project carried every type of emotion imaginable. As far as legacy, he’s still unsure where it ranks because it was such a personal project for him. While later albums may feel more fun and relatable, he still considers this one a classic because of how raw and honest it was.”
